I think you two really need to learn how to think outside the “you” box before posting such close-mindedness.
Not everyone that doesn’t think the same as you is wrong. I could give u many examples by explaining why some would read, but i only really need to tell you one of my reasons:
—I was sexually abused at 5yrs old & was physically & mentally abused most my childhood. I often find reading about these things (though fiction there are many who experience it) to be somewhat therapeutic for me. It helps me process what i experienced (i have autism so i have difficulty with that) plus it makes me feel less alone in experiencing them)
Also, Rape & violence concerns the stories subject, not literary worth, or the writers skill. Don’t read something you know covers a topic u hate and, more importantly, don’t drag the piece and author down because of it. Especially when you haven’t even read it all. It’s like saying “i hate any story that involves sports” then reading or watching something about sports and giving it 1 star, saying it sucked cos there was too much sports

I apologize for what you've been through, nobody deserves that.

But I get what you mean about the chlose mindedness, I didnt mean to villainize anyone who reads these types of Manga/Manhwa.
I didnt even know there were people who used these types of things to cope with different traumas.
And If that's what puts you at ease, and helps process everything you've gone through then I 100% respect that.

And I don't know how half assed this sounded, but I hope it didnt, I wouldn't be able to truly understand what you've been through, and what goes on in your brain, or anyone's really. But yeah, I'll work on thinking outside the "me" box.
