When he does meet the original heroine, his heart starts beating and he experiences the usual "symptoms of falling in love". To his credit, he does rush his fiancée out of there (they were both in disguise in chapter 5.2) but it seems like this is one of those mangas where the universe is pushing for the original plot.
Personally, I hate this type the most. I will stick around to see if this becomes overly dramatic and if so I'll drop it. I hate this type because it seems like the universe is messing with the MC. Often, both the MC and the heroine are reincarnated (or let's say just the MC) and that must mean that the universe (I use this term loosely, universe, god, nature whatever) brought the MC to this world but made her suffer just because !! I forgot what that other story is called where the MC was reincarnated and the universe forces her to be the villainess. She wasn't a bad person in her previous life and she acted normally in this new life but then she went back in time over and over because she needs to be a villainess. Fuck that shit!
