So basically this story seems to have a supernatural ghost type of magic system to it. Taejoon and Yeon-woo got their evaporation powers because of their suffering from being abused and neglected.
The night when both of them got locked in the black room, their hatred for Yeon-woo's parents came to a high. And then as the legend says, on a night of thunderstorm looking into the mirror will change something in them.
Not only did they wish that Yeon-woo's parents would disappear, but that they would be together forever.... and that's what they got, but in a really fucked up way.
