Can you explain what you mean by "ranking"? What exactly does she do that makes you hate her?

But she also went through awful things because of the monarchy. I mean hello she was literally abused because of the system. Maxi doesn’t even treat anyone bad because of their rankings, hell she can hardly communicate properly with anyone besides Riftan and Ruth. You can dislike her I guess, sometimes you just dislike a character for no reason which is fine. Just don’t make up dumb excuses to hate on her.
They don't hate her cause of ranking. They hate her cause of her dad. They believe she's a spoiled daughter of the Duke.the same Duke who sent them on an exhibition for three years. And in those three years while they were off fighting for their lives, shes been refusing to go to riftans castle as his wife. Of course we know that's not the truth. We know that she believed that riftan didn't care about her since he left without a word the day after they got married. From the pov of maxi earlier on in the story, maxi never heard a word from riftan during the three years and because of it she believed he hated her. Then on the knights pov, riftan has been trying to get ahold fo his wife, but she she's been ignoring every single one of his letters and refusing to acknowledge her marriage with riftan. From their pov she is a spoiled dukes daughter who was upset about being married off to a commoner. The knights can't be blamed for the misunderstanding they have since maxi isn't trying to clear it up either way. And not only that but it isn't just the knights too. Its also riftan. Riftan also thinks of her the same way they do, the only difference is because he loves her, he ignores it. If none of their attitudes change after the misunderstanding is cleared up, then its a problem

I just mean the whole King Queen Duke Duchess. And all that stuff. So things like having to watch they tone and stuff when they near her. Or having to listen to whatever she wants.

So then do you also hate Riftan, because he's the "Lord" of the castle? Everyone has to watch their tone with him and listen to whatever he says and they're completely at his mercy. I get disliking the class system, but disliking a character because of a system they themselves are a victim of make no sense.
This is a medieval story of course the ranking system is going to exist. you could say the exact thing about literally any character in this story of course she's going to get what she wants she's a queen that's the point of a queen she is royalty. you're excusing her trauma which is absolutely disgusting by the way but also what do you think happened in the medieval times do you think no one respected each other based off their ranks and if so why are you reading if you don't like the whole ranking system?????
