Yea it's kinda inconsistent, it's like the other didn't think about that and just tried to brush past it just so the fl could have a bad ass back story or something like that. I mean don't get me wrong I really love it when the fl is strong and all but not if itso just therenough the kinda seems like they did it for the fans.
It didn't seem like she was that traumatized about her situation in the first place. Looked more like she was mad. It seemed to me that her suicide is her revenge rather than her way out which makes sense as to why she's so ready to get her revenge as soon as the opportunity was given to her.
Rather than being depressed, it just seemed like she has a lot of pride and couldn't take that this other girl looked down on her but also thought of herself as a victim, which she is but you know.
It's not like her mental health is good, she is kinda crazy in her own way. I mean she doesn't seem like she mind dying/suffering as long as she can get her revenge.
Exactly. The hate with which she looked at Lee Sooyeon(i think that was her name, I'll just call her Lee from now on) was not similar to like the mentality you need to k.ys because of depression. She looked at Lee with SPITE. She wanted to traumatize Lee. Yeah, she was sick of the way she was treated but first and foremost she seemed sick of Lee. She wanted to make her remember her and she wanted to make her suffer. At the time she didn't have the means necessary to do it, but now that she does she can be more creative with her revenge.
* a little bit of a lengthy post I apologise lmao
It seems to me that Dahlia being depicted as smart/confident etc etc... is because she's in a position where she can actually rival her bully for once in comparison to her previous life (where she had everything taken away from her and had everyone turn against her). She has allies and is in a position of power (in legitimate status and in knowledge), being granted the ability to know the contents of the novel and the truth of both Dahlia and Florre being reincarnated.
Though, I wouldn't describe Dahlia as being mentally stable - we literally see her have what looks to be PTSD from being bullied by Florre in her previous life, which prompts her to lash out at Florre in anger before being told by the archduke that it isn't a good look for MC. + Her desire to get revenge isn't the healthiest in my opinion, but of course, is understandable - I think she said in the beginning to that her literal life purpose was to get revenge too??
But in terms of how she's responded to the trauma of committing suicide, people just respond to trauma differently - though this 'MC becomes a calculating and omnipotent being after facing trauma' is overused in these isekai/reincarnation stories, it's another form of response to trauma at the end of the day I think

I just find it kinda weird how the mc was a depressed and suicidal high schooler in her past life and then as spon as she's reborn she's so smart confident and knowledgeable and her mental health is on 100, like it really doesn't make sense because I feel as though she should atleast be a little traumatized by her suicide and since she's only in high school it would make sense if she was naive you know. But that's just my opinion so don't drag me
