Which FL we talking about exactly? Original FL or our main character? Because if it’s MC then omo so she was right. Does the prince intend to hoard the ointment to kill the duke in the war so he gets Ripley?

I'm not sure, if its to kill then they'll sabotage him into doing something dangerous with the royal decree. If it's something else, it'll be to bring his reputation down then frame him for something. I hope this helps ; - ;

There are people who are wondering what the fu** does this bit**y prince want from our lovely (and clumsy -v-) FL. The prince actually has feelings for our FL and chooses to take all the ointment for the upcoming war, which the duke will be participating in. I'm not clear on what happens but, the prince shows and/or confesses to the FL.
