Moe-hah-vay, is the pronunciation. It is Spanish originally I believe it's also the name of a desert here.
Do actually people pronounce the name like it in spanish? I learnt some Spanish and I think the right way to pronounce it is Mo-ha-ve
I don't know how they pronounce it in Spanish, I live in the southwest US, and I've heard it both ways. Mo-hah-vee and mo-hah-vay. I've never heard anyone correct another person on its pronunciation so I guess I can't say for sure. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
I wonder how do you read the surname Mojave? Is it with English pronounciation? because I automatically read it with Spanish pronounciation XD idk why, it just fits better? They're americans right? so maybe the spanish pronounciation is actually working well?
