Personally, yes I have lost enthusiasm in relationships; friendships, love life, etc. It mostly causes certain parts of a person's personality/interests to change over time, plus it gets repetitive to talk about the same topic over and over. Al In romantic relationships, you find qualities you dislike that really show through after being in a relationship for so long. Though if you really like that person you could probably get over it. And for the last question yes; I had a friend that I told everything to and was basically the only person I was close with (dated a bit) but over time we stopped talking, we lost interest in our relationship. Mostly cause we were that close we felt uncomfortable, cause we didn't step boundaries per say. I guess we're close but I haven't had a real conversation in like a month or so eh

I read the Shounen Ai- Here U Are
I binge read this story and after reading the side stories, the side story titled: Strained relationship pt 1 and 2.
It says they both lost enthusiasm in their relationship but still love each other. It saddens me. ML seems less enthusiastic compared to MC, work can cause issues yes. ML seems a bit more robotic and MC seems the same as before except both matured.
I know relationship isn’t about excitement, it’s about love for each other and they both still love each other which is good.
I just want to know from someone w experience. Is it common to lose enthusiasm in relationships? Why do you lose enthusiasm? Is it cause you’re so used to being with them that you’re comfortable?
