In japanese the word is actually « shinyuu » so you could say that he consider them his bestfriends
He did say it to Clara, but he wasn’t sure what the prez would be, at first he was thinking of also calling her his soulmate, but then the whole dance took place and that really cute scene of them hugging confused irumas feelings so now he’s not sure what the prez is to him lol
