They supported them instead of grabbing the chance to separate the 'bestfriends'. I like Will, he was the bridge that was needed for the two, the efforts that he made but I REALLY SHIP HIM WITH THE OTHER GUY. I like Seth too, my heart is broken for him too, I ALSO SHIP HIM WITH HIS ORANGE HAIRED FRIEND but if they don't end up together might as well end up with me ლ(´ڡ`ლ) and also to the friends and family of sam who have endured the roller coaster relationship between the main couple. I just wished there were side stories of Seth and Will too, they deserve happiness (even if Will is sometimes an ass HAHAHA) but on the other hand I don't want to witness them being sad, it just makes me cry.. Thats why shounen ai>yaoi (no hate tho, i like smuts either way)
