Nah Makoto is a total bottom in my mind. Probably because I ship RinHaru and SouMako though. Its just his personality, Makoto is naturally submissive and softspoken by nature. Don't let his build fool you. (I have a thing or muscly bottoms tbh ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~)

If you judge based on looks alone, yeah Mako is a seme. But his personality is super sweet, innocent, lovable - like an uke.
I prefer Mako as the uke, he's just too cute.
And the whole muscly=seme and short/skinny=uke trope has gotten old anyways~

Submissive does not equal to uke. Nor does being kind and sweet. It implies that the seme can only be the opposite. It's a bit hypocritical to say that muscly=seme is getting old yet you fall into the cliche of uke=sweet, innocent, lovable. A stereotypical uke. You can have preference for bottom Mako and that's fine.

But the fact that you want him with a more muscly guy=seme. Is the same thing as the old more muscly=seme less muscly=uke. If that trope is getting old, wouldn't it make more sense for Makoto to be with Haru who will be a smaller seme than Sousuke? Especially since he and Haru has a connection while canon!Sousuke and Makoto are barely interested with each other? Sousuke is more passionate and connected with Haru than Makoto.

Let's face facts, you want Makoto to be with Sousuke because he's smaller than Sousuke. Which makes it hypocritical of you.

Actually, when did I ever say I only wanted Mako to be uke with Sousuke? I said I preferred Mako was the uke. I don't care with who - Haru, Rei, Sousuke, anyone. I've always saw Makoto as an uke, no matter the pairing.
So don't call me a hypocrite without even correctly reading my comment. I didn't even MENTION Sousuke in my comment.
Also, I did say that Mako should be uke due to his sweet cute personality, and that's because I find that trope more acceptable than the other one I mentioned. Some tropes I agree with, some I don't. Just because I didn't like the skinny uke and muscular seme trope doesn't mean I reject ALL tropes.
So let's face it. You misinterpreted everything I said and then wrote a long ass paragraph analyzing my comment as if this is an AP Literature class.

The hell are you going on about? I like Makoto as an uke, period. What's so hard to understand about that? You're making all these crazy assumptions that SouMako is my favourite couple (when did I ever say that?!) and that ukes are submissive (when did I say that???).

What "evidence" do I need to back my "claim?" It's my fucking preference, I don't need evidence for it. That's like asking someone evidence for why their favourite colour is blue.

Also, I wasn't being a hypocrite. I said I'm tired of muscular seme and skinny uke tropes, and I meant it. Nowhere did I say I was tired of cute/sweet uke tropes. Yeah, both tropes are kinda old, but I still like one of them, which is why I did not say I'm tired of it.
