I'd like to think that Siri labeled Veramude as her best friend because she was not aware of her real feelings for him. What I mean is that perhaps she already had a crush on Veramude at that time and associated these strong feelings with "best friendship" but in fact it was love. Her besty is definitly Morris !
Oh and in the past life Veramude agreed to send her, him or Arcana back in time. He trusted her to change the future despite all the evil deeds she had done in her life. So there were certainly more than just hatred between them. Ah I wish I could read the novel !

Is it just me, but I dont really give a damn about Veramude? Like, Morris should've been the best friend. He was there when she was in jail and has been there for her steadily. Like, don't get me wrong, I like Veramude, I just wish her relationship with Morris was that of Best Friends. Like, he def deserves that much.
