The emperor is foolish and easily manipulated, he fell prey to many tatics by those who just want something from his position. He's gullible and thinks anyone different from him is wrong. He judges books by their covers. Yes, he changes, but so what. If the empress wasn't so happy go lucky, this sotry could only end in tragedy. He is not worthy of her. And I can't bring myself to find this story cute or whatever, I can only think how the empress would wrongful die if they didn't switch bodies, or how her whole family would be killed if the emperor wasn't forced to live like her.
