They hate how manipulative she is but I don’t see what else she could have done really so I don’t get it either.
She feels so guilty too. Like she’s not good but I think she’s trying and not sure what to do.
She didnt even really do anything to him either. She just gave him safe, contained missions that made him stronger. She never made him promises and never said she needed him for anything. She actually gave him a life much better than what he would have had in the og novel...
My problem personally is she keeps saying she “gave him freedom” but then rejects his choices outright. She kinda admits it in this new chapter. She said she didn’t need him because she found someone else, but then admits in this chapter “oh well actually I could use one more person I just don’t want it to be him.” But she’s the reason he’s so angry and feels betrayed and doesn’t get along well with other people. So it seems like she’s caught in a vicious cycle. She built him up to be a hero, gave him a purpose kinda but then took it away because she decided it without talking to him about what he would choose to do. I dunno she comes off manipulative and controlling while pretending to give him a choice.
She realized hes too much of a wild card for her mission which (lets not forget) has the WHOLE WORLD hinging on it so maybe a bit of understanding wouldnt go amiss. And she also felt bad that she controlled him and so she set him free. In the novel he never cared ab anyone so how could she predict he would become obsessive?? In the original he had no issues killing the owner of the association so why would she think he suddenly cares an unhealthy amount ab another person? Also he IS free to do what he wants but she doesnt have to let him follow her around, join her team, etc. Bc they are BOTH free. Its like when your parents force you to be friends with a kid you dont like bc they're your age and they like you hes also straight up crazy, unpredictable and uncontrollable... and her whole plan relies on her team listening and cooperating.
From somebody that grew up with a very narcissistic father it’s the way that she centers things around herself not just the way that she’s manipulative about it but the way that makes her seem like a narcissist. Also certain parts of the story just don’t connect very well then going back to her behavior it makes her seem like I’m the only one that can do this. I am now the main character. I am now the way that her behavior in the way that she analyzes things is kind of very peeves you off type of thing the way that she doesn’t realize her own behaviors on the type of person that she claims to want to be. that way she doesn’t realize the cause-and-effect of her own actions
She did kind of without understanding her own limits and the limit of an attitude of the person. It’s like she forgot what type of person she was as she was reading, thinking that it’s just a nurture that he needed without asking and by the way, a grown-up that might be more understanding or custom to other peoples behaviors instead of thinking that way and just asking for that help she did it all by herself and while doing that kind of broke him, he’s obsessive behavior is good but she kind of did that on her own. She made that her fault without putting a proper reason for everything. It feels half assed though I did read the story twice only I should read it a couple more times to check.
She kind of is the best chance for the world to survive considering she knows everything.. also she is extremely powerful but she still recognizes her team's strengths and uses them, she doesnt just try to act like shes the only important aspect. The ML is actually the one who centers himself the most when hes ACTUALLY the reason the world will end. I say good on her for recognizing how volatile an element he is and not letting petty considerations get in the way of saving the world
She started this story trying to recreate the novel and then decided (after showing him so much favoritism as if he was going to do great things) “nah he’s too much of a risk”. She knew the contents of the original story but still attempted to recreate it and then later thought it was dangerous. At this point, she’s the problem. All she had to do was buy the company and then just stop. Don’t favorite him, don’t make him powerful as if she had a plan for him, and just don’t. It would have been fine then. At least that’s how i feel. She shouldn’t have started something to just not finish it because that would make anyone a wild card at that point.
No, that’s not why she abandonment. She abandoned her because she fucked up while grooming the the original main lead of the story, she fucked up when he didn’t try to kill her for the betrayal, she realize that it wasn’t worth it then the risk that she took, and everything else wasn’t worth it, and then she randomly abandon him somewhere without word I don’t follow her completely, but I can’t fault him completely because of the situation that he was putting in the original novel I just don’t like how she approaches certain things
Also very unnerving how she keeps treating other people like tools then proceed to act like some magnanimous person or whatever. Anyways, I'll be dropping this. The story really took a turn for the worst. It's like MC's character degraded along the way.

Not understanding the hate for the FL? Shes doing the most to help everyone, shes kind, shes intelligent, shes strong willed.. literally the perfect strong FL but bc she didnt coddle the male lead the whole story shes bad?? Meanwhile hes a walking red flag but no one gives af ab that. ML bias is so real on these stories
