I get what your saying, at first I could her will to survive and somewhat make amends to the man the previous owner of her body relentlessly pursued, drugged and raped by vowing to live her life solo. But, I thought in time as everyone saw how much she’d changed (became another person) and she came to understand the world she’s in she’d see the advantages of having more than one partner. No one shames her for it and wants to protect and value her. I did like your reference to Empress’s Harem in that she gradually grew in all her relationships. Other beast hybrid, survival stories like Romance in the Beast world you don’t see as much insistence on monogamy. You may like Chitra if you haven’t already read it, it has polyandry…the frustrating aspect is that the people that definitely should be the MC’s 1st husbands aren’t. But the plot and how the MC leads is impressive.

I thought I finally found a good polyandry manga but no. The MC being monogamous rlly makes no sense for the plot and only makes the readers frustrated. Monogamy is extremely impractical and risk-taking in the beast's world. The snake guy is perfect, I'm sorry but I would never choose Joey over him...why can't she just take in multiple husbands. In a world that survives off of it, why can't the FL be like the one in Empress's Harem?
Honestly I see this trend in shoujo/josei and reverse harem where the FL is always a virgin that seems to lack interest or experiences in relationships, boys, sex, etc, and only ends up with 1 guy, but needs that guy to pursue her at first. It just contributes to the whole idea that women who are very experienced in relationships and sex are devalued. And the stereotype that men are 24/7 horndogs. Ofc there's nothing wrong with women who are like this in real life, but u can't deny that almost every FL in reverse harem is like that. Just tired of this trope.
