Okay lemme put on my bad plot prediction-glasses: night before the match. granny will take a turn for the worse/die. doc will speed back to korea just before the match so JK can't have his pre-match sex. Loses, shoulder is mega fucked (suffer bitch). blames doc, beats him, fires him. doc blames himself, but also freeeeeeeeee. JK goes off the rails some more. starts whining. yadda yadda yadda. starts to demand doc back. doc is scurred and hiding or whatever.
