His explaination afterward that he trusts his brothers as doctors to provide a good care, but he could have chosen a facility that was better supplied. Would have saved the uke's ass and I'm sure a place with security and a dedicated team of specialized doctors would be able wrangle this seme. He doesn't really check up on his little brother's wellbeings either, since most of his lines are about the seme. His existence was to drive the plot and be a sign of conflict, and God do I hate him for it.
