God tier manga.

This is my favorite manga of all time. It’s just so well written. Such dynamic characters. A very strong male lead that is not the typical feminine uke. This story has some gut wrenching scenes. Not many cheesy tropes going on here that are so embedded in this genre. I can really relate to Yashiro san on a personal level. The allegory of a bird soars throughout this entire work. I was not expecting this level of plot and character development in a yaoi manga (not trying to say anything bad about the genre as a whole. Typically this is my favorite genre and I have read hundreds of them myself.) I think this manga really shows just how much potential this genre has as a whole. It sets a high bar for other manga in the genre. I just hope Yashiro san and Doumeki san get their happy ending after all this angst. </3 I also hope Yashiro first name will eventually be revealed. I really can’t say enough good things about this manga. It is a literary masterpiece. However if you are a SA survivor you may find this very triggering. Also if you don’t like dark/psychological manga this may not be the manga for you.
