The uke is fine

There's some comment how he's insufferable and there's nothing to like about him, and how he treats a friend shitty.
Funny thing to me is that it is stated how both the mc and the "friend" who constantly called him knows how it's annoying, but the mc won't block the number and the caller must have gotten it from him. There's no mention of the MC having any other friend, and the MC doesn't seem like a person who would give his number away to anyone for it to get passed around. Either way their only point of contact is to just for the caller to ramble on about his crush and obviously it's kinda delusional, while the mc is an outlet for him cause he thinks it justified because they're both gay.
The MC just be living life, doing jobs where he gets paid well, gets dicked down, and is able to eat and laze most days. Perfectly respectable things for an MC to do in his life, and it seems some readers don't like this direction or just left. If you are leaving cause you don't enjoy it, good for you cause you know it's not your cup of tea but don't spread hate. Especially the summary of this story is about how he doesn't care about anything, and that does have an impact on someone who dies in the story.
A main character is not going to always be a likeable person, they are a person that the story will follow and to expect every single story you come by as a happy journey and ending is impossible. Which is why summaries and tags are so important to filter what you consume.
Also like is so subjective, I like this MC cause he's cold to people but the story hints that from a young age he escaped into music from a broken family. His attitude seems like it comes as a way to shield himself from getting close and hurt by others. Be nice to see this shield crack and that he did get attached to someone and gets hurts by it.
Bet this gonna be toxic though, hopefully it is since that's the trash I'm here for.
