the guy that died after failing to become the protag? no, he just wanted to stop MC from doing what he will do in the future (from his knowledge). Although in my eyes he wasnt a good person, we find out that he pushed MC to save himself, pretty selfish for a soon to be hero.
Because, the dude died in front of MC and brought the goddess, the whole time line changed and it most likely stopped MC from being the evil villain. I never read the novel so i might be wrong but hope this helps
Yup I think he was the leading factor why mc turned villain in first time line.
So technically, failed MC did do his job to stop MC workd destruction.
Also, the MC would’ve done the same to failed MC had he had the opportunity. They are both bad and selfish people. I wouldn’t say evil at this point because they are human and it was the instinct to survive(not defending the actions tho)
It’s just that MC was lucky enough to be able to absorb power instead of dying. There isn’t much difference between them.
