I keep seeing ppl saying "how could she fall in love with the person who killed her whole family?.." and it is genuinely so annoying like did u even read the story.. the whole point is he doesn't know his own feelings and she couldn't contain her feelings, she grew to love him and their memories tg. shes conflicted because she hates him so much but came to love him (and hates him even more for that!!) it's such a tragedy and such a great & complex love story. better than any 'enemies to lovers' trope ive ever read. it goes soo in depth from the characters to their backgrounds to not being able to control their own emotions. i NEED them together. its so sad that they are holding back because they feel like they aren't 'meant to be' together. bc laliette feels like the universe is against her in that sense since she loves him but knows she shouldn't. now that her 'family' is out of the way i hope they both find happiness together
