It is interesting to see another reason. That could be the reason but I think he is trying to figure out what is going on with Dan and a "drunk" Jaekyung Dan may open up to easier than his normal self.
He is noticing he is falling sleep multiple times, learn he is missing dinner, and he just rubbed blood on his arm. he said Dan was going under his skin and pushing his buttons. If he is not drunk, he is using that to learn more about Dan and what is going on without asking him directly. Dan caused it go loving.
I’m going out on a limb here…I love this chapter. I don’t think Joo is drunk, but using that as an excuse to be loving for once. I don’t feel he’s as bad as he acts. Dan is not as much a victim as people want him to be. We can’t forget JJK helped settle Dan’s debts, moved him into his penthouse, and pays his grandmother’s hospital bills. Stop showing hate on the author. Either read it or not. It’s fictional after all.
