YESSS! That's exactly how I felt about it. It feels like a bunch of tropes thrown into it.
The characters themselves are so bland that even the (barely) sad backstories didn't help make any of them more likeable. The love rival is just weird. Like, even I can take him seriously. Feels more like a friend fucking around being matchmaker rather than a legit rival.
:// yeah.. shame cause art is nice too. I mean, they could have collaborated with a writer. Honestly I had turned off my brain and put up with most of this even though they piled onto each other, until they confessed because of some rando attempting to rape the mc, it made no sense and it gave the confession such a gross and bitter aftertaste.
Like... really?? You need someone to assault the person you love and save them for you two to talk?!? Wtf... That really took me out lol like of all things u should get that the confession is an important scene why cheapen it.
Would benefit from a writer but it feels more like lazy writing than anything else. Feels like this was some throwaway exercise. There is no way after writing this and letting sit for a while or even speaking to an editor that you will think to yourself, "yeah, this is good lets run with this." It cheapens the conflict, the romantic interactions and the ending. The art is so wasted on this heap.

I mean I did like it but leave me like wanting to know and read more of every situation; the "sad past" and about the relationship maybe just a little more, about the new kid/friend cause actually I didn't understand if he's just joking around and try to help them or if he's real about his feelings. Didn't like the r4p3 scene cause I feel like didn't have much sense (?) Idk ...but I enjoyed it just want a little more

perfect description! i couldn't put it any better it's truly a waste of good story potential when they gave us such a high level of chemistry between the two mls :(
ugh very weird that on one hand u got very wholesome vibes and nice art and on the other u got a plot that's like if someone spinned the wheel of all the romance clishe's a bunch of times and put what came out together...
like... why u got the childhood friend crush.. then the romantic rival who makes them confront their feelings, then misunderstanding, then pessimistic person chooses to move away, then a fight where one person says "I've never thought of you as a friend!" (because they like them), then one person gets drunk which makes em more impulsive and honest, then one saves the other from attempted rape which is what makes em confront their feelings..? *sigh*
I'm disappointed because it's a cute couple but the plot felt so shallow...
