This story really should have just been a dark/ tragic yaoi and that’s it, but the author kept trying to throw these weird comedic moments and character expressions into the mix which don’t work at all. The tone is all over the place. It almost feels insulting to the readers intelligence, like we’re babies who need some humor to soften the blow of the terrible things that are happening here. Dark humor can be done, but it isn’t implemented well here at all
