it’s more so about politics then forgiveness, if they were to renounce everyone that did something wrong of their titles with a confession or evidence, or both. They can’t throw around the weight of the power of a king or risk being labeled as tyrants and thus give way for a coup from the nobility, I noticed that was moreso the ongoing theme was basically about rules and the unspoken rules of politics, after all it’s better to catch someone in the wrong and make them indebted to you for not throwing them away than make an enemy with connections to make more enemies
