I think how "weird" and "repulsive" their relationship is a part of the story too. So while it might deter some reader, it still serves the narrative well
It's a good manga the only weird thing about is that Daija is a giant fucking snake and they have snake sex I'd probably find it better if he were a human but it's still good as it is now
