It's so much worse knowing this is a flashback because we already know how this turns out, Cheol doesn't get to go abroad his shitty brother does, he gets married to someone he doesn't like, and he lives under his family's thumb. After seeing that dinner scene how can the uncle still send the brother abroad, so what if he gets called out on his favoritism. That's what it is and Cheol deserves it anyway. Why is it only 10 years later that he finally wants to stand up for Cheol? You knew he was getting hit this whole time, it even happened in front of you. If Cheol gave up the sponsorship then it shouldn't have gone to anyone. And Minyoung I just know his crazy ass is going to make everything worse. Bc his uncle is right, Minyoung doesn't think about the future he's just focused on getting revenge in the moment never mind how it affects anyone else. That's the issue with Yandere's they are inherently selfish. I mean I'm glad they have each other in the future but this flashback hurts so much.
