Anyways, his revenge plan was against the FL's family, but when he learned she really had no idea, he ruled her out of the revenge ploy. He targets the Duke, the FL's father. FL does learn her father hired an actress to act like the ML's mother, which lead to the thoughts of him being a bastard child. He really wasn't, his father was the Count's brother, so he was really the nephew of the Count and his birth mother ended up marrying the Count.
He kept her by his side because he still had feelings for her, just hadn't realized it at first, since he was going to use her for his revenge.
Can someone read the novel and spoil this on me? Like I really would like to know where is this going.

personally I think deadrace “betrayed” the ML thinking ‘push him because if he stays with me he will get hurt’ trope so she might been protecting him as we didn’t really see what was her thoughts at the time, so she might pushed him away because she is afraid what else her father would + a trauma response (from her mother abuse)
I think he still have lingering feelings for her we saw how he acted when she ‘pity’ Fred and how he blushed? After he knew she used the flowers to bath‘, also he lets her do what she wants (the kiss)
two theories : he is secretly doing this revenge plan or he just wants to keep her by his side
I think berry? (Her name was? The rumored lover of the ML) knows of his feelings? And planning something with him or for revenge or to discover if deadrace ever loved him
