I agree! I really like Prince of Tennis but the girls are always annoying. I agree with you for the girls etc. i guess it kind of just gets uninteresting to some people but the last part, I think mostly all of the sports anime or manga we don't really see their outside lives. I'm fine with it personally. The girls in most manga/anime, I can't deal with bc of either their naggy attitude or weak personalities.
Sigh..., its the same as most sports mangas, all members of the opposite sex become window drapes. I am not asking for the baseball romance type that a certain author is famous for, but this kind of prince of tennis type gets annoying. The Karate one is also like this, so I eventually lost interest as well. All of these MCs that have undiscovered talent for certain sports usually starts out with fairly interesting settings and concepts, but once the sports gets semi-serious, everything else falls off the map. Its like they dont have lives outside sports.
