Nope. He gained back his eyesight, someone probably willing to give his eye to him. It wasn't stated much in the novel other than his people telling him he can't lose his eyesight.

a well-written tragedy porn indeed. also, the 2nd ml was the one who showed real sacrifice and suffered the consequences. He truly gave his life while the auhor made the trash ml make a pseudo sacrifice that never really have any lasting effect on him. In the end, he lost nothing.
2nd ml doing those horrible things is only for the main cp to still be justifiable to end up together, I remember those transmigration novels where they get forced to do things for the sake of the plot

First : Fuck Qiyu and blonde bitch
After chapter 181, everything will start. Blonde bitch exposed Li Qing history and Qiyu trusted him. Didn't bother to listen to Li Qing, accuse him of poisoning the emperor and torture him. Making him bleed heavily and suffered physical injuries that could never be cured.
Second : My Li Qing ╥﹏╥
After emperor woke up and Qiyu found out Li Qing wasn't the culprit but the blonde bitch. Tried to seek forgiveness but still didn't think he love Li Qing. Li Qing want divorce and he accepted it due to his stupid ego and thinking Li Qing would regret and come back to him. Li Qing never did. Li Qing has been hiding his disease from Qiyu and was going to die.
Third : The moment I cried so much
Qiyu found out Li Qing disease. Tried find ways to cure him. Brought Li Qing to the mountain as he thought the cure will be there but Li Qing didn't make it. After Li Qing was gone , Qiyu changed and regretted his actions. Qiyu became a calm and no longer childish person. Every important days, he'll visit their room and pretend Li Qing was there with him.
Fourth : Li Qing was alive
Pei Xing Xu resurrected Li Qing using the cure. Li Qing remembered everything but his mind is of a child as he suffered mental illness. He got married to Pei Xing Xu. Qiyu was invited to the wedding and found out Li Qing was alive. Li Qing was scared of Qiyu so Qiyu change his voice and fake his identify and tried to get close to Li Qing.
Fifth : Qiyu gave his eyes to Li Qing
Li Qing was still blind and to cure it , it needs another pair of eyes. Qiyu gave his eyes to Li Qing. He didn't want the anaesthesia during the process and was awake the whole time as he was afraid Li Qing would be in pain.
The whole thing about the triangle love
Pei Xing Xu died at the end as he suffered the same disease as Li Qing but gave the only cure to Li Qing. He nursed Li Qing back to health and treated him gently and with love but Li Qing only sees him as an elder brother. When Pei Xing Xu found out that Qiyu and Li Qing has been spending time together drinking and eating, he was blinded by jealousy that he hypnotized Li Qing a few times to kiss him, have sex with him and stab Qiyu. He was captured by the Xiaos and tortured in the prison. Was rescued by Qiyu and Li Qing at the end but decided to stay.
Qiyu and Li Qing didn't really have a happy ending. They never get marry at the end of the Novel even though Qiyu wanted to. To Li Qing, Qiyu has still a long way to go. But he also somewhat accepted Qiyu and they did have sex many times.
I think many many years later, Li Qing might fully accept Qiyu. He loves Qiyu but also hated him. But his love exceeded his hate as he never wanted Qiyu to die. He never loves anyone else other than Qiyu. Qiyu still has a lot to repent for what he did to Li Qing.
