Same I remembered Draig Midknight after they showed that scene. It’s cool how the author ties in their different stories together!
Yay, I'm not alone. I was reading comments before posting, searching for someone else that mentioned it. No luck.
I like it as well, that's why before I read something I make sure if there's a sequel, connection, prequel to other works so I can follow the order, no matter how small. So thankfully I had already read "Draig Midnight", because honestly it would of bothered me ╮(￣▽￣)╭

As I was reading Ch. 17 about the emperor's empress fought defending the empire and lost his daughter, I felt like I remembered reading that specific scene somewhere and thankfully I was right. From "Draig Midknight", which I found odd because usually mangago puts all the authors works together. So either this got permission to use the exact same "scene, emperor" or they are the same authors and I judge didn't have a clue.
