You honestly didn't miss much. The sex scenes were hot, but the plot was a mess. And like, Owen did apologize to the girl afterwards and went and threatened the rude customer to never pull that shit again, but it was still cringe to even have him hit her in the first place.
It isn't ok to portray physical abuse a woman without any appropriate consequences particularly to satisfy an abusive and dissatisfied customer. so i stopped reading from that chapter. i'm actively hostile to anyone trying to change my decision.
