EXACTLY!!!??!??!!! The characters talk sense, the situations aren't just dealt in a surface level, I'm just using a serious situation as plot device kinda way. They hit the mark with the depths of these situations. Yet, YET! it never improves, even though we're almost clearly being led to believe that it could. I can't wrap my head around it, I'm going insane now.

Is this a horror? Did I miss something?? Yuri is so mentally unstable it’s almost hilarious, but it’s actually not hilarious because I’m constantly stressed and depressed over how utterly hopeless everyone here is. Mr Lee takes Yuri’s abuse like it’s a cute quirk he just has. Mr Lee feels like he’s withered away, an empty exoskeleton that is there for Yuri to slutshame, fuck and verbally abuse his ex’s over. Mr Lee ain’t there, he hasn’t been since 1905, Mr Lee is gone, left with his grandma probably. Mr Lee is an abusers dream, he just takes it all and says it’s all okay and actually means it! ”I see no red flags here, Yuri” he says, not out of fear like most would but out of real genuine belief.
Yuri never grows, he gets worse as things go on. The slivers of hope I get in this are all instantly bulldozed by the tons of relationship abuse these two people go through. Mr Lee is sometimes mature, which I appreciate. He tells Yuri off but the second Yuri goes insane mode and becomes an actual stalker Mr Lee is like ”Perfect timing!!! I wanted to get stalked and tracked down today!” WHAT?? WHO WANTS THIS??
Worst of all fucking all is that I truly cannot tell if I’m supposed to root for them or not. Am I supposed to hate it or does the author want me to find it cute and charming?? It’s depressing, and it that sense this manhwa is amazing. It sucks the life out of you as you become stressed and depressed over this hopeless relationship that somehow still works out. Except it doesn’t, it stays abusive until the end, and nobody grows. 5/5, made me go insane.
