Honestly I think it’s the nature of the smut genre, authors often try to get to a smut scene as soon as possible, but they also are trying to establish an interesting storyline. Unfortunately most authors don’t go for the already established couple in love trope, instead it’s assault and then backstory, or they’re both drunk which is also non consensual, or the FL is super desperate and has a crush and needs him to “teach her about love” lmaoooo

Why the plot is always like this? He rapes the girl and later we know of his tragic past, so we can forgive him for it????
