Sure but our male lead doesn’t get hate for being a cold blooded murderer creep…because mostly straight women are reading and don’t care to criticize him. Like he’s definitely a worse person than Asagiri. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who is worse. I just have to call out how we talk about women vs men. We should think about it. Like his character is fun in a story, but irl we would all stay far away. But Asagiri is just a normal disadvantaged minority but gets hate vs everyone else. we should think about why we feel this way. Even my first instinct was how cruel and that I’d want to lash out at her if I was Satako. But as we see, Satako instead saw through it and wanted to go hear her out bc she looked in pain.
