Basically, he explained that the love they had with Aoi was just as friends. He says that it was a joking thing, since Aoi was playing around with him. He doesn’t go into depth about anything else like calling Naho average, but theirs 4 chapters left, so I’m sure he will eventually explain more

i don't rlly understand what was going on lol the the translator's notes helped a bit with understanding *what* was happening but the "why" he did that was never explained so i'm soooo confused abt like why he would say those things and why his friends were mean to him
