I’m not sure what you meant by that last part about the author writing the storyline on the way with the readers. If you’re insinuating that it’s been made up as they go, the story itself has already been complete as of 2021. This is just a manhwa adaptation.

It’s kind of interesting that you see Juyeon’s rape as a poor excuse for what he’s doing, yet want to see revenge done onto him for raping his rapist. I’d argue that Juyeon’s writing has always been consistent throughout the story in that he’s clearly not a great person and he’s unstable + has lingering feelings for Jiwook. That doesn’t make his motivations weak, it means he contains a myriad of conflicting feelings like most people. He wants Jiwook’s affection but he hates Jiwook the most in the world. He wanted to kill Jiwook, but he doesn’t want Jiwook to be hurt too badly, much less die. He knows how traumatizing rape is, but he still inflicted it on Soohyuk out of jealousy.
