I'm the translator of this series, I know it doesn't sound good in French, but since it's there in the original Japanese writing, and probably is there to convey how 'French' they are.....lol I thought it might be best to leave the author's intention there. Instead of make up something else entirely.
Its a very good read but the french words placed there makes it a bit tryhard (as a french person) especially when it's not the right traduction oh and «le midi» is the south of France but the way the sentence is structured is a bit weird.«vacances» is holiday. And «petit négre» iis little negro, little being pejorative placed like that and negro being plain racist. It was a bit cringey seeing it like that as the subject is Asian.
