This is set in a time where aborting would kill you - legally it was punishable by stoning. She kept the child because she didn't want to perish, she never wanted it, you demonising her over that is like demonising women who abandon her child when she is neither emotionally or physically able to take care of it, sure she's not great, but ML gaslit and raped her, so she's not that bad, especially compared to other FLs in other stories.
...how do you know? How do you know in this fictional world abortions are punished by stoning?? I forget this story is strictly historically accurate and everything written is a historical account... wtf?? Even in the real world *outside of the story* women have been taking abortive medicine and herbs for centuries to prevent carrying to term/having children. Making such a huge leap in logic to say I'm demonizing her is crazy. She didn't have to keep the child. She could've given it away and kept that a secret. She could've aborted it but didn't because in a twisted way it kept her attached to the ML, which she wanted. "Demonizing her for not aborting her kid"... How do you even come up with this

By the fact that it's the son of the imperial family, and was known by the father that she was pregnant, she would have been killed, go check up on your inference skills, since you clearly lack them, also, I was only making educated theories on why she decided not to terminate the pregnancy
This story really took turns off the beaten path into a ditch hahaha... How the hell did we end up here? Both leads are equally insane, the ML is canonically is a r-pist, and the FL is twisted and abandoned her child that she kept out of... What? Resentment? Responsibility? But she still kissed the guy she despises on the cheek?? "Feelings of loss for them both" wdym??? Where is this story even heading to
