Reinhardt definitely refuses to realise her own misdeeds

I do not take Wilhelm's side and I don't pity him. My point is he was always crazy to begin with. And I didn't expect him to miraculously change just because he fell madly in love. Some characters are just meant to stay rotten. Whatever he has done did not surprise me. I don't know why some people acting so shocked over his actions. Like.. he was never sane to begin with
For the FL however it's a different story. She is an awfull mother. She became the exact type of individual she despised. And post partums has nothing to do with it. Handing over her kid to Dietrich does not make her a caring mother, but a coward running away from her responsibility as a parent. Some people think she gave birth to Billoi because she did not want to blame the child for his father's misdeeds. In that case, why did she not visit him for three years? Not even once? They also say"At least she gave birth to him". What does it mean? A kid is a whole life, a whole existence. You don't chose to give birth just because you feel like it, but because you fully comprehend what that represents, and you are ready to fully commit to your kid's well being your whole life.
Reinhardt might have been a righteous being at first, but the revenge path tainted her, just as Whilhem's betrayal. And the author wanted to show us that fact through her kid and how she keeps running away and hiding from everything. Even the purest Heart can become tainted and a rotten Heart is not bound to change simply because it has Come to know love. THAT is the point of the story.
Everything is not just black on one side and pink on the other and that is what some people fail to comprehend. You can't just keep making excuses for the FL. The order came in handy. That day when she left her kid in the imperial palace, she felt relieved. She ran away from all her suffering even if it meant never seeing her kid again, because he was also part of that suffering. Despite knowing how he was going to be treated, she definitely turned her back on her flesh and blood.

I wholeheartedly agree....this story is one of the most realistic stories to portray human psychology without sugar coating it. Yes, Wilhelm was always insane in his nature...and it's even his second life...so one can't change two life's worth of nature....but Reinhardt had the chance...and she is also not pure....she used Wilhelm for her revenge....when he was a kid...and billoy had to take all her fickleness....he was an innocent child and as you said..she basically ran away....and now with the other kid... I think she treats her well...so she is trying to redeem herself...but that's BS... cause now she has the same mistake she hates most

Yes I also feel like, from what we got so far in this chapter about Bianca, that she is very similar to the innocent and playful Reinhardt when she was still a child (when her father was still alive). Which may psychologically be why she is “ok” with raising her even though she has Wilhem’s hair and eye color (same as Billoi). Whereas with Billoi, we saw how similar he was to Wilhem, down to the manner of speech. Definitely fucked up though for Billoi and what he’s experiencing.

Dumbass above (OP) doesn't even know the story, as was made clear in interactions before this and clearly also doesn't understand the concept of adoption. No, a parent who can not take care of their child SHOULD not just tank the burden and keep their child "BeCauSe FlesH anD BloOd". That's like, so obviously not a good take.

"Post partum has nothing to do with it".

That's like saying our argument and your own irritation at not being able to reply when I ended up blocking you because you're clearly just horny for Wilhelm has nothing to do with you making this separate post about what we were discussing

"Some people think she gave birth to Billoi because she did not want to blame the child for his father's misdeeds. In that case, why did she not visit him for three years? Not even once?"

Because Wilhelm raped her for three days straight? And wasn't it five years? "If she really gave birth to him because she didn't want to blame him for his father's misdeeds, why didn't she put herself around her assailant?"

This is the kind of dumb takes this person has...

"They also say 'At least she gave birth to him'. What does it mean? A kid is a whole life, a whole existence. You don't chose to give birth just because you feel like it, but because you fully comprehend what that represents, and you are ready to fully commit to your kid's well being your whole life."

This person thinks people only give birth if they're planning to devote their life to it... They also give birth if they're raped and don't want to blame the poor child... Like she did. Post partum is a thing. She didn't bond with him, he never became "her baby", in that terrible context she was in she gave her baby to Dietrich to care for. She just gave birth, breastfed him and cared for him herself until he started to look too much like the father and triggered her trauma and then without abusing him gave him to someone who will look after him.

Imagine thinking the above makes her a trash mother...

"Reinhardt might have been a righteous being at first, but the revenge path tainted her, just as Whilhem's betrayal. And the author wanted to show us that fact through her kid and how she keeps running away and hiding from everything."

This reading comprehension... No, the author wanted to show that Wilhelm is a psychopath. She is running from him because of what he did. This while breakup and Billoi are about Wilhelm, not Rein....

Imagine reading about a man fooling a woman into thinking her crush is dead so he can woo her into falling in love with him, later getting her pregnant before she finds out about the whole fabricated reality he was doing, watching her run screaming from him and being like "what a bitch".

I definitely agree. I also want to point out that FL has been a hypocrite from the start. She got mad at wilhelm for lying but what was she doing all the time? She manipulated and used wilhem just as she wanted and she was unfortunate enough to manipulate someone thats bat shit crazy/obsessed. Both rein and wilhem suck and i feel so bad for their kids

It's not just "lying", it's fabricating her crush and best friend's death. It's not like she just hates liers

Rein's manipulation involved consent at every point, he always knew what he was getting into and did it for her with the intent of winning her over. She raised him like a mother would a son as well. It's also just a knight profession, that's pretty standard for the setting

I'm not talking about him fabricating the best friend's death, i don't even think he knew dietrich was alive all this time. I'm talking about him seducing the crown princess to kill the prince and hiding that from her. And you're saying he consented to being used, he was literally a kid when she first met him and he didn't have his full memories back then. She did not raise him like a mother would do at all. She used him to her benefits despite seeing the red flags and warnings from Dietrich.

Well the point where him "lying" to her is an issue, like where it's an actual plot point and she says it out loud, is when they break up, which is because of the lying about trying to kill Dietrich.

As far as him "not having his memories", no, that was another of his lies that he was already caught out on once and now this is twice. The first time he claimed he didn't have his memories till the battle Dietrich died in, but only AFTER Dietrich had already died (to absolve himself to Rein), but that one was debunked by people that were there and now we just saw a few chapters ago him as a child with the bird in the cage as he calls Rein his god... He's a regressor, he's had his memories and whole time... Just like Rein, the other regressor in the story, did... His lie that he didn't have his memories never made sense in the first place, It's nonsensical arbitrary bs.

"She did not raise him like a mother would do at all. She used him to her benefits despite seeing the red flags and warnings from Dietrich."

No offense, but that she raised him like a son isn't an opinion, it's a part of the story. She used him, but she felt bad and took good care of him. They used to sleep together holding hands and shit. Anyways, again, he's a regressor so he was never "a child" in this life. Her "using him" here amounts to making him a knight to a noble lady, which really isn't that bad a thing in a medieval setting, but especially not when he was already a mad dog in his last life that already did all these battles before. You're forgetting that the reason she took him then is because he was her shitty ex's mad dog in his last life. What was she supposed to do instead? Kill him? From her perspective, she doesn't know at the time that he's no threat because he's a regressor already obsessed with her. She knows him as the war obsessed guy who would go on to be her biggest threat so she brought him to her side to do what he was already going to do in the future, but on her side...
