I'm sure they did their best with the timeline they get paid for.
Honestly I think it's fine to read for casual readers and people who don't read the novel. If there's too much details, it might end up dragging the manhwa too much. As long as the key events are properly delivered, it's good enough.
As for loyal readers, this manhwa might as well be a good promo for the novel. People who wants to know more, or people who gets annoyed by the missing details that others are commenting, they will definitely want to read the novel.
NGL There are so many missing information and skipped scenes from the novel that's why it feels like chapters are missing, if you don't read read the novel it's hard to grasp what's going on in recent chapters specially in season 2, I think they're thinking of shorting the story for the manhwa to reach the Battle BUT the execution of story telling is not there.
Take this chapter for example, they are already at the village in Dark forest. they didn't even show how they stay in dark elf village or come back at the gate again or how Mary first saw the sky again.
