happy endings for me are determined by the tone. if the characters i wanted to end up together doesn't but it feels right for both of them then that's happy for me but those are rare. usually, main couple happily together = happy ending.
i don't need engagements or pregnancy whatsoever. as long as the story ends on a good note and the mc is happy with their life and the story was wrapped up nicelg then that's already a happy, satisfying end.
makes sense. aside from mc's happy life, I'm also curious if the happy ending is affected by how the antagonists/villains punished. we may sometimes want them to just die or life ruined or leave the mc alone but sometimes mc just forgive them for his peace of mind and that's it. thanks for letting me know your thoughts on this! :)
OH yeah personally, i get SO annoyed whenever the villain gets unpunished or if they don't suffer enough for what they did so much so that it heavily affects how i feel about a story so i guess in that case i'm the one who doesn't get a happy ending

how can you say if the ending of a bl manhwa is a happy one? should the main couple get married? or at least engaged/with couple rings? for non-omegaverse, isn't it satisfying already if all their problems/struggles are resolved? for omegaverse, do they need to have children for the ending to be satisfying?
