some novel spoilers discussion for those who want it since i frequently see the same questions about whether or not the end is satisfying or if xinlu will change for the better
"will xinlu change?"
the only change he really undergoes through is his denial. if what you dislike about xinlu now is his arrogance and how he degrades yuri then don't worry, he'll definitely change into someone who worships yuri above everyone else. however, if you want him to change to be a green flag then you're definitely not going to get that. till the very end, he maintains his extreme possessiveness and yandere tendencies. the only difference is he stops denying it's because of love, and becomes affectionate.
"is the groveling satisfying?"
hmm... i think it depends on what kind of groveling you like. i enjoyed it especially compared to ilay's (did he even have one? didn't feel like it). to me, a satisfying groveling needs to have the mc trying to leave and the red flag ml becoming absolutely pathetic and desperate as they beg for the mc to stay and getting absolutely angry or jealous if they don't. if you have the same taste as me then you'll definitely find the ending of this to be satisfying (though i wish yuri held out a bit longer).
however, if the kind of groveling you want is the ml becoming a better person for the mc then you'll find this very disappointing. if you're expecting a mc that stubbornly tries to run away like its life or death, or grows to hate the ml, then you'll also be disappointed. as you can see, yuri is someone who doesn't bother with drama or troublesome things which is why he never bothered to hide his feelings for xinlu. that attitude extends towards the final confrontation.
to clarify on the "becoming a better person" part... xinlu 100% becomes a better lover! but a better person? well...!

A and B (the mcs) are not soulmates but they start dating. B then meets C his soulmate. iirc, it's a school setting because there's a scene where B and C are in a classroom(?) in a very incriminating position. i just don't remember if A and B ended up happily or not. i really don't remember anything else... i think B had dark hair...?

why do uploaders not want others to upload over them? from what i know, they don't earn money outside of donations so i've always wondered why uploaders seem to fight over who should upload a series. some series are even reserved with notices before it's officially translated—but why? isn't it better if someone else is able to upload whenever an uploader can't do it as it takes the load off of them?

I guess its that feeling of coming home all excited to eat the snack youve been thinking about all day just to realized ur siblings already ate it lol + having 4 copies of the same chapter over and over is quite annoying for the reader
i read this on reddit like a looong time ago. basically, scanlators (non-MTL ones) spend a lot of time working on a series, so when someone suddenly uploads it too, it feels like their work is being taken over. its called sniping, afaik its like an etiquette on scanlations
the problem is that sniping doesnt guarantee faster or better updates. sometimes the new scanlator is inconsistent or low quality, and the original scanlator loses motivation to continue, so readers end up with no updates at all. if the original scanlator has abandoned the series, though, most people dont mind someone else picking it up
Well, if you are doing a task every week, but sometimes when you show up to do it there is someone else who already did it, the prep-work and the journey to the task is wasted. I'm guessing it can be pretty annoying to have everything set up and then not doing it and having to do it again every week just in case. Many uploaders even ask uploader Friends to take over their uploads if they know they won't be able to do it for a time.
They aren't getting paid, but that don't mean they don't commit
On the other side, I've been following a couple of series with multiple uploaders at the same time and it's also annoying on the reader's side(〜￣△￣)〜

although the author didnt plan on including any romance; readers craved it and so kendrick was chosen as the love interest!
