Yuri has NEVER said he felt sexual attraction towards Xinlu- not until this point in the story at least- that should give you enough to understand that at that point in that time of his life when he was looking at a prepubescent child all he was actually doing was similar to how you admire art.

The way Yuri thought about Xinlu and was mesmerized by his beauty was like looking at a “flower,” just like looking at a painting that leaves a deep impression on you. Once again, love doesn’t have to be tied to the desire to touch someone, possess them, or lust after them.
Yuri is a perceptive person, which makes it even harder for him to explain it, and trying to explain it would only make things more complicated. In the end, Xinlu figured it out himself after connecting the dots, and that’s when Yuri finally explained it to him.

Would've been fine if yuri wasn't so dodgy about it. He himself constantly refers back to that moment even in romantic scenes with an older Xinlu. Listen, we can go all day discussing about how romance comes in various forms, but it's still fine to point out that Yuri's perception of Xinlu is a bit strange. Calling him a pedo is a bit excessive, but I wouldn't dismiss comments that discuss this subject. At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. He only constantly refers back to it because Xinlu himself keeps bringing it up and making Yuri remember it. Yuri didn’t just randomly keep thinking about it on his own. And Yuri never viewed young Xinlu in a romantic way either. He even imagined Xinlu as his younger brother, which is explicitly shown in the story （￣へ￣）
I wouldn’t even be surprised if this manhwa suddenly had an ABO trope.
Like man... how the hell can you smell the scent of the water coming from Yuri’s body?! And I just remembered that early on, when Yuri and Xinlu were at the hotel and kissed for the first time, Yuri could smell a floral scent coming from Xinlu’s body too.
