Rashta is right but..

Rashta is right. What she went through is TRULY unfair. She was born a slave and people who have been through that kind of trauma are the only ones who know how desperate you can get just for a half decent life. It’s easy for Navier to say “I’m not desperate enough to steal..” because she has never been in a position where she has to. Navier was born to have her basic physiological needs handed to her on a silver platter. Where Rashta went wrong, however, is simply just never leaving Navier alone. Rashta was already empress. No other woman could be of higher status yet she continues to pursue for something. I do feel bad for Rashta, and she’s completely right about the injustice of being in an autocratic societal system, but she used that to as leverage for the top and abused it. What’s happening to her now is the result of it. I don’t feel bad for anyone in this manhwa except for Rashta’s children

Aweee poor woman born into a miserable life. So instead of wooing a normal noble man without a wife she became a homewrecker.

Ofcourse Navier isn't desperate enough to steal. And yes, she has it because she was born into a decent family. It's called "class". And you can't buy it or marry into it. Rasta is proof of that.

And no one is desperate enough to steal someone's husband. It's a character problem. As if Rashta didn't try to seduce Henry and that other Duke even after she had Soveishu.

She can marry ten emperors and she'll still never belong to the seat of the empress. I'm not sad for Rashta at all and will never be. Because her story portrays the fact that there are consequences to your actions and you must face them. Your past is never an excuse for being a shitty person and what you steal from others will never be yours, so she had it coming tbh.

Life isn't fair tho, but the actions she caused herself were lessons and it's her choice where to learn from them or not

I’m not exactly sure what to make of this comment. It’s pretty obvious that you have a black and white view of a world that’s clearly modeled to be complex. If we were to really dig deep and point fingers at who’s at fault then the only ones we can blame is the societal structure of this setting. “Class”, as you said, is the direct result of this structure. In a world of someone who is surviving by eating dirt and scraps, “class” will not even enter their mind. Who cares about the angle of your head as you’re talking to a person of a slightly higher status when you’re too busy trying not to die of hunger? Bringing up class in a discussion about the discrepancies of living standards between slaves and aristocrats is just tone deaf. But of course, this not me trying to excuse Rashta’s rotten personality. She made her personality pretty clear even when she already had what she wanted. Simply, I’m making a point about survival and human nature. When a rich man steals bread, there’s no excuse. He could’ve just bought that with money. But if a starving slave steals bread, there certainly is something to be discussed. In this analogy, Sovieshu is the bread Rashta needs to survive. Unfortunately, the bread already belongs to someone else. You are categorizing layered, convoluted characters into superficial constructs that take away the meaning of their roles. It’s true that Rashta is a villain. There’s no arguing against that. But it’s also true that her actions and her ambitions are the result of the unjust society she was born in. Her past, no matter how much people want to deny,

This might be one of the worst comments I’ve read on this site. Bro is out here WISHING to be ruled by a monarchy. “Born into class” what elitist bullshit. Can’t believe someone came out here pro-monarchy and pro-slavery and thought they were making a good point.
