Cultivators generally think they are better than assassins because they believe they have left the realm of humanity after they start cultivating. Assassins can hone their skills but t can’t break human boundaries. That’s my understanding of Murim anyway. Especially in Shonen genre. Most of the sects are corrupt to the core they they think themselves righteous and above everyone.

Funny that it's not the first time someone said something similar towards our MC. Not even the first two or three times either. But because they said that, it's obvious they look down on him. Why? Is it because he's an assassin? Do people think assassins are not capable of killing people under the sun?
