Right? The second I saw a young and attractive woman being shown in a panel, I braced myself for a rape scene. The author has got a pattern and he's sticking to it.
i think it was to emphasize on how they aren’t good ppl and even tho they praise the mc they go against what he believes in ( i.e, mc got raped, which isn’t an action he favors, and he “followers” are rapist = contradiction in beliefs)
Yeah, his faction is just people too afraid of him, they pray if they say they are on MC's side, he won't hill them
Why show that scene? It's to show the protagonist isn't a hero I guess...
And looks like the author enjoys doing rape scenes...
