it’s a little frustrating, trying to walk the very fine line between coercion, consent, manipulation, and rape. and it’s a VERY fine line. if this was a bdsm story with a safe word, I think more people would get it. the safety is wholly in Tae’s hands, because he knows Soo-Young well enough to not cross the line into what he can’t handle. they don’t need a safe word because Tae will stop when he hits a hard no. again, I find it, terrifyingly hot.
