Because they aren't people but furry. With 4 ears, they look like wearing animal headbands instead That's even weirder.
I prefer them having 2 animal ears when in half beast mode. And hide them when in full mode humans with human ears. That way can see that they're truly transforming and not cosplaying
I don't think it looks bad when they don't have human ears, it's just a little unusual, but it makes sense.
yeah i agree it makes sense!! unfortunately i personally just think it looks odd :( and apparently the artists usually think so too becsuse they end up giving the characters hair that conveniently covers up where their human ears would be LMAO so you end up seeing a lot of catboys with the same semi-long haircuts
just imagine the superhearing they have Σ( ￣□￣||) i think only some beastmen like sheep are safe from this four-ear phenomenon ┗( T﹏T )┛

people complaining about 4 ears ?? personally i prefer 4 over 2 because people just look weird without human ears... they look... kinda bald ?
