I don’t understand, somebody explain pls

The major and his hyung, Daniel, suffered an accident while they were on a mission. Robots were hacked by Eddie/Kid and killed all their companions, only the two of them survived.
Fast forward, Daniel gets together with Eddie, falls for him, Eddie dies, transfer his consciousness to a robot and the two are together now.
Meanwhile, Major is still in the military trying to find the hacker Kid to take revenge. He still had a trauma of robots, and with that he wouldn't be allowed on field. So to prove he is capable of working, they assign this robot, XBT, who is still being tested, to work as his partner. That's Soho.
Because Major is hunting Kid for revenge, Daniel, who's Kid/Eddie's lover decides to stop him at all costs, so he hacks a robot and controls it to attack the Major but Soho shows up and defies the system orders and saves the major.
Long long ago, a young soldier fell in love with another, this young soldier donated his life to the making of robots, as in, he was alive while tests were made on his brain so he could be used as a base for a revolutionary invention. Years later, the result of it was the robot series XBT.
That young soldier was the brother of the wife of one of the Major's teammates, he is taken to jail by the government so he won't leak the truth.
His lover is the old man we saw, he sees Soho exercing something close to free will and wonders if this is his past lover consciousness or something, he has been waiting for this.
Now the major is agreeing to a truce of sorts with kid so they'll meet because he recognized his hyung's voice and he wants to know why his hyung is siding with the man who killed all their friends and costed him his arms.
The major also hired Kid to search the deep files of Soho, so they can learn more about that soldier who was the base for his code.
They still don't know the whole "he was alive when they started experimenting" nor know who he was at all, they just know there's a person "inside" of Soho and since Soho wants to know more about himself, the major wants to help him.
After being shot by the robot controlled by Daniel and taken to be fixed, Soho was in risk of being dismantled, so to avoid that, the major went their and rescued/kidnapped him.
